The 2023 International Workshop for Quantum Information, a premier event in the field of quantum research, was successfully hosted by Hunan Normal University (HNNU) and the Hunan Quantum Science & Technology Society (HQSTS).
The workshop brought together esteemed guests, including Vice President of HNNU Prof. Zilan Liu, Previous Vice President of HNNU and Co-chair of the workshop Prof. Le-Man Kuang, Chairman of HQSTS Prof. Hongrong Liu, Co-chair of the workshop Prof. Oleg V. Astafiev from Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), Russia, and Co-chair of the workshop Prof. Changling Zou from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), China. Their esteemed presence and inspiring speeches set the tone for an engaging and fruitful workshop.
The workshop, held from July 4 to July 8, 2023, attracted over 100 experts and scholars from the field of quantum technology, representing more than 20 domestic and international universities and research institutes. The impressive turnout showcased the significance of the workshop in fostering collaboration and advancing quantum research.
The workshop featured an impressive lineup of 85 presentations, comprising 20 plenary talks, 25 invited talks, and 40 poster presentations. These sessions covered a broad spectrum of topics, including quantum computation, quantum communications, quantum metrology & sensing, and quantum information physics. The diverse range of presentations provided a comprehensive overview of the latest research findings and fostered collaborative exchanges among participants.
The workshop serves as a catalyst for future collaborations, enabling experts and scholars to establish connections, exchange knowledge, and collectively drive the progress of quantum research. The insights gained during the workshop will lay the foundation for breakthroughs in quantum computing, secure communication, high-precision metrology, and advanced information processing.
